U.S. Bank Loan Closing Specialist - Brookfield, WI in BROOKFIELD, Wisconsin

The Commercial Loan Closing Specialist coordinates the loan documentation process by working with Bankers, Loan Portfolio Specialists (LPS) and other parties. Other parties are including, but not limited to: title companies, Re-techs, legal counsel, Lending Services (NWLS) staff and Underwriting staff. Rep performs to ensure loan conditions have been satisfied and loan documents are prepared in accordance with organizational policies and procedures, loan terms and conditions, and in an accurate and timely manner. Under general supervision and using established guidelines, the LCS will process moderately complex commercial loans. The position requires a good level of knowledge of loan documentation policies and procedures, knowledge of the assigned product line, applicable lending operations and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Four to five years of experience in loan/lease processing activities, or other relevant experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Commercial lending experience and banking/financial services experience

  • Business background or knowledge of business policies, procedures and terms

  • Thorough knowledge of legal documents used to support applicable loan processing

  • Ability to work with legal to solve complex documentation needs

  • Ability to apply critical thinking for all elements of loan documentation

  • Thorough knowledge of closing policies and procedures, funding policies, underwriting requirements, terminology and automated processing systems

  • Thorough knowledge of applicable credit policies and approval processes for assigned product(s)

  • Ability to work effectively and accurately in a fast paced, high production, professional environment

  • Strong organization skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
