Job Description

U.S. Bank Global Corporate Trust & Custody Services is a premier provider of Corporate Trust services and the leading collateralized loan obligation (CLO)/ collateralized debt obligation (CDO) Trustee in the United States and Europe. The CDO/ CLO team services bank loan products, including CLO securitizations, leverage facilities and investment funds.

This role is hybrid. Team members who are in a hybrid role typically spend three days a week at a U.S. Bank location, while having flexibility on their work location for the other working days.

Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a motivated, energetic person to join our expanding Relationship team to support our CDO/CLO Trustee business. The Relationship Specialist (RS) administers high- profile relationships for the CDO/CLO product line with parties including Asset Managers, Hedge Funds, Private Equity Firms, Investment Banks, and Bondholders. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to cash processing, debt service payments, compliance monitoring, client service and communication. Candidates should be familiar with securitization markets, where debt and equity investments are issued to investors with the proceeds of the issuance being used to purchase a pool of collateral assets. Typical types of collateral include syndicated bank loans, middle market bank loans, commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) and residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS). The individual should be proficient in the Microsoft suite of applications, specifically Excel, and will be required to become familiar with applications such as ACS, CDO Suite, CDO Sentry, Bloomberg and MarkIt WSO. The RS position requires that the individual demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to quickly identify and escalate problems and risks. Relationship Specialists will coordinate the collection of asset cash flows, reporting and the payment distributions for their CLO book with internal partners. The RS will prepare account acceptance and AML/ KYC/ onboarding of customer accounts. Relationship Specialists are expected to assist legal counsel with the negotiation and execution of all transaction contracts and governing agreements. The RS supports sales efforts in providing technical expertise in pricing and pursuing new business opportunities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting or equivalent work experience

  • Five to eight years of experience in trust administration, fixed income investments or broadly syndicated loans

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Advanced knowledge of account management, corporate trust operations, and legal regulations

  • In-depth knowledge of structured finance transaction documentation

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication

  • Excellent problem-solving, conflict management and negotiation skills

  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and meet established deadlines
