You will be managing the next generation of our infrastructure and data platform. This is the core data platform for the entire U.S. Bank.
Essential Responsibilities: -
Responsible for designing, developing, testing, operating, automating and maintaining cloud infrastructure.
Responsible for managing a team of engineers to build a center of excellence around Infrastructure and Automation (Cloud and On-Prem) in automating and scaling cloud operations.
- Consistently creates optimal design adhering to architectural best practices; considers scalability, reliability and performance of systems/contexts affected when defining technical designs.
Exhibits relentless focus in software reliability engineering standards
- Embraces emerging technology opportunities and contributes to the best practices in support of the bank's technology transformation.
- Contributes to a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Reviews tasks critically and ensures they are appropriately prioritized and sized for incremental delivery. Anticipates and communicates blockers and delays before they require escalation.
Collaborate with cross functional partners and stakeholders in influencing technical decisions
* * - Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Ten years of relevant experience
Experience managing and growing a team of DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering
Experience managing a geographically distributed team of engineers
Experience automating infrastructure utilizing Terraform
Experience in CI/CD pipelines
Experience with configuration tools such as Puppet, Salt, or Ansible
Significant experience architecting and implementing solutions in public cloud ( Azure, OR AWS OR Google )
Exposure and knowledge of large-scale data warehouse / data lakes and real time data pipelines
Experience driving the culture of SRE utilizing SLI/SLOs, error budgets and automation
Adept with agile software development lifecycle, DevOps principles and strives to drive a culture of continuous integration and delivery
Proficiency in programming and system design principles
Excellent communication, presentation, leadership, problem-solving and analytical skills
Master’s degree in CS is preferred
