The Palo Alto-based software company helps SMB, predominantly in the Retail, Restaurants and Services verticals simplify operations and make better decisions through an integrated point-of-sale system. Within U.S. Bank, talech is tasked with leading the charge on the digital transformation required to enable the development and execution of a comprehensive digital experience for SMBs where the interface to the customers is the talech POS and from it a comprehensive set of additional solutions (software and banking alike!) are enabled to the customers

talech is searching for an experienced Product Manager with excellent business and technical acumen to build and grow our hardware and device management capabilities.

Success for this role is defined by the ability to provide our customers with a delightful and reliable experience. Your key objectives within this role will be to make our hardware solutions easy to buy/sell, easy to setup, and easy to support and manage at scale. The hardware solutions are inclusive of all hardware which runs or connects with a point-of-sale application such as smart terminals, receipt printers, cash drawers, barcode scanners, kitchen display systems, and kiosks.

In this role, you will be responsible for refining and executing talech’s hardware strategy, defining talech’s device management infrastructure, presenting to the senior leadership team and obtaining continued executive support, working with partners to procure hardware and technologies, working with talech product managers to integrate procured hardware and technologies into the talech platform and applications, and collaborating with pricing and profitability to define a comprehensive pricing structure.

Key Responsibilities:

•Assess the market and develop key success factors and key performance indicators which enable talech to capture market share.

•Manage talech’s hardware portfolio inclusive of hardware and device management partner relationships, new hardware procurement and end-of-life activities.

•Develop and maintain a 2 year roadmap which is sequenced by 6 months.

•Demostrate operational scalability through designing and building enterprise grade device management capabilities within the talech platform.

•Develop and maintain pricing and profitability for the hardware portfolio and device management capabilities.

•Engage with technical resources to clearly define and deliver core product capabilities as it relates to hardware integration and device management.

•Clearly communicate status and progress to senior leadership.

•Design and continuously improve the out-of-box and first time use experience for all hardware platforms.

•Work with legal counsel to generate terms-of-service, customer disclosures, and all other legal documentation as it pertains to customer.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • 10 or more years of product management experience

  • Four or more years of managerial experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

-Proven experience as a senior product manager who built platforms.

-Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or computer engineering.

-Has an MBA or equivalent degree

-Five to Eight years of experience with software as a service and mobile device management technologies.

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

-Knowledge of point-of-sale hardware.

-Thorough knowledge of product/program development, pricing, implementation and strategic analysis

-Demonstrated management, leadership and interpersonal skills
