Job Description

The Sr. Marketing Manager, Strategic Segment Marketing is responsible for the strategy and execution of marketing programs that generate and nurture leads for strategic segments. Develops integrated campaigns and programs that support brand awareness and lead generation via digital advertising, ABM, email, retargeting, targeted social advertising, events, webinars, and marketing sponsorships. Works closely with cross-functional teams to design, plan, manage, and optimize integrated digital marketing campaigns. Reports to the Vice President, U.S. Bank Payment Solutions Marketing.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of marketing automation systems, Salesforce and ABM platforms, and understand how to leverage their capabilities to support marketing campaigns and related reporting. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are mandatory along with strong problem-solving skills.

  • Work closely with strategic segment stakeholders to identify marketing needs and opportunities, and develop strategic and tactical marketing plans to support achievement of revenue goals.

  • Work with stakeholders to articulate strategic segment value proposition and develop supporting marketing messaging.

  • Develop thought leadership content to support marketing programs. Identify thought leadership topics with stakeholders and define content plan then outline story for copywriter to develop assets. Work with designers to format in accordance with brand guidelines.

  • Define, plan, manage, and optimize integrated digital campaigns and ABM programs to support lead generation for strategic segments.

  • Collaborate with the Digital Marketing and Marketing Technology (MarTech) teams to design and execute digital campaigns that leverage social media, marketing automation, CRM and ABM platforms to reach demand generation and cross-selling goals.

  • Evaluate trade events, webinars and marketing sponsorships then present recommendations to strategic segment stakeholders for approval. Third party relationship management of marketing partners.

  • Monitor and report performance by tracking relevant KPIs related to engagement, qualification, leads, and conversions.

  • Ability to evaluate media performance metrics and recommend adjustments/actions to optimize campaign strategy and performance to goals

  • Execute nurture programs and retargeting to maximize conversion rates

  • Work with sales managers on lead management and assignment from marketing to sales

  • Responsible for managing marketing assets through all business stakeholder, legal and compliance review and approval processes.

  • Responsibility for managing assigned budget including timely annual/monthly budget forecasting.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related fields.

  • Five or more years of experience in marketing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of marketing automation systems, Salesforce and ABM platforms, and understanding of how to leverage their capabilities to support marketing campaigns and related reporting

  • Familiarity with payments processing and digital payment systems is a strong plus.

  • Excellent verbal and writing skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate work with a wide range of individuals and groups

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent projects with varying timeframes

  • Strong Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills
