Job Description

Sales Support Consultants function as a trusted advisors on all aspects of the pre-sales process for direct and partner sales teams. These consultations can be as simple as walking through accessing digital application system, helping with filling out, and submitting paperwork, or complex consultations such as identifying specific solutions for unique merchant needs and researching existing software to find connections for it. We are available to support all aspects of the sales prospect lifespan, from first vetting to boarding. The team must often learn as they go, uncovering and communicating current information for novel situations. All Sales Support Consultants are expected to take ownership of issues they receive and follow up until issues and questions are fully resolved. We are often a single escalated point of contact for complex issues that arise during the sales process.

We drive revenue growth by being a reliable point of contact for our partners and sales teams, supporting them as on-demand subject matter experts and escalation points of contact. Our involvement in the sales and onboarding experience ensures as smooth an experience as possible for prospects. Due to the variety of tasks, we manage, the depth of knowledge required, and the ability to develop new and improved ways of doing things, Sales Support Consultants must be flexible. Our job function requires all consultants be able to manage time, prioritize responsibilities, and understand the sense of urgency with inquiry. Sales Support Consultants often acts with limited supervision and the freedom to make decisions to resolve issues. Sales Support Consultants have substantial autonomy in structuring how they complete tasks within the expectations and needs of our sales teams and partners.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 3+ years’ experience in a Customer Service Call Center

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Proficient computer skills, especially using Microsoft Office 365

  • Ability to manage multiple task/projects and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to interpret data.

  • A Servant Leader

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

  • Effective research skills

  • Positive attitude and a sense of humor

  • Some knowledge of the Payments Industry

Remote + Hybrid/flexible schedule

The role is posted as remote; however, candidates who are located near any one of our locations would be required to work on site at least three days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $58,650.00 - $69,000.00 - $75,900.00
