Job DescriptionPayment Services (PS) Chief Risk Office (CRO) Audit and Exam (A&E) Team leads are critical in facilitating internal and external reviews conducted on Elavon products and services, processes, and controls.
A successful A&E leads act as a key intermediary between the business unit front line resources and testing teams.
The candidate will support front line and support resources by providing a centralized point of contact for reviewers, managing request lists and submission of business unit responses, scheduling and hosting discussions, helping the BU partners prepare decks or discussion materials, and working to resolve concerns identified during reviews.
Key responsibilities include managing audits and engagements on behalf of NA acquiring risk from end to end; liaising with testing teams and business unit management, front line staff, subject matter experts, and support functions; tracking testing requests and business unit responses; and facilitating the timely completion of testing engagements.
Support Elavon, NA business unit through effective management of audits and other engagements conducted by internal 2LOD and 3LOD, as well as supporting regulatory services on behalf of Acquiring business unit during regulatory engagements.
Key duties include but are not limited to the following: Effectively manage all aspects of assigned engagements from start to finish Maintain familiarity and fluency with the body of engagements impacting Elavon, with specific focus on those impacting NA Maintain line of sight were necessary/practical for Elavon outside of core engagement focus to ensure awareness of Elavon impacts Maintain a structured and documented process for each assigned engagement Facilitate successful completion of engagements with Elavon partners, including providing effective challenge to the BU partners as needed and ensuring timely review and delivery of materials to engagement partners, and providing effective challenge (in coordination with the BU partners) to engagement partners as appropriate Ensure appropriateness of BU responses to engagement requests, including reviewing for reasonability and completeness, and providing effective challenge to the BU stakeholders Identify and work to remove obstacles to successful engagement for the BU partners, with appropriate escalation where required Effectively and independently develop new or leverage existing relationships within the business unit and supporting functions, as well as with key testing unit associates, to facilitate completion of these and other goals through regular periodic meetings and other opportunities that may arise Provide effective, respectful challenge where appropriate and attempt to resolve or mitigate concerns raised by reviewers during an engagement. Escalate, track and resolve all open issues related to an Elavon Exam/Audit when the potential for an issue or finding is identified Provide consistent and reliable updates to management on assigned engagements, including timely escalation of potential issues, findings, or other material concerns Provide accurate and timely reporting on engagement status into centralized reporting repository Perform other duties as requested by management
The successful candidate shows self-initiative and works independently to appropriately prioritize and complete assigned engagements.
The Candidate has strong verbal and written communication skills and will approach engagement management for the business unit in a deliberate and diligent manner.
The Candidate will be highly organized, can ensure deadlines are met, and can influence others within the organization.
Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience Seven to ten years of applicable experience
Preferred Skills/Experience Considerable knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact Payments Project management skills or experience Strong familiarity with Payment Services Business Line, generally, and Elavon NA Acquiring Risk Business Unit, specifically Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint Resourceful problem solver
