THE ROLE

We are looking for a visionary leader to design the future of U.S. Bank. This executive will be responsible for embedding the digital customer and user experience focus across all of the company's product lines - from existing and traditional products to maturing and evolving opportunities. They will ensure products are designed and delivered to delight customers and ensures a positive user experience throughout the customer/consumer lifecycle.

Reporting to the EVP & Chief Digital Officer for Enterprise Digital Platforms, this leader

leader will transform U.S. Bank's approach to CX/UX by implementing a holistic strategy across the global suite of products and services for the enterprise, while driving a cultural transformation through design-led thinking and customer centricity. They will lead large teams and grow our top-notch and in-house Design practice for the enterprise.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Create amazing products

  • Drive thought leadership in design thinking & UX design for U.S. Bank

  • Lead talented teams to create “best in world” journeys

  • Present work persuasively and authoritatively to peers and senior leadership, while facilitating collaborative conversation to drive the best product outcomes

Build a world-class Design teams

  • Source, hire and develop a high-performing team with world-class skills. Motivate and engage team members to achieve peak performance and high job satisfaction

Build strong relationships to maximize thought leadership

  • Partner with and influence stakeholders in lines of business, Product, Technology & Dev, Agile transformation, Marketing, Analytics and other teams to strengthen relationships, persuade, and deliver amazing products

  • Promote, by example, a positive culture of achievement and getting things done by being responsive and timely by finding win-win solutions, and by solving problems with divergent, expansive, design thinking methods

  • Evangelize a design-centric culture within U.S. Bank; and make our team be sought out for learning, collaboration, and as a place they want to work

Continually expand Design’s value to the bank

  • Advocate and embody customer-obsession, inside and outside the Design organization, resulting in simple, innovative, lovable digital products/experiences

  • Build on and promote our atomic, digital design system to continually add and refine components, improve quality and speed, and increase adoption

  • Maximize reuse of design system components and obsessively focus on “creating where it counts”

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in a technology execution or leadership role

  • Strong understanding of Azure and AWS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent experience

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven leadership abilities and strategic management skills

  • Strong knowledge of financial industry

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Well-developed analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills

  • Considerable tact, diplomacy and people skill

Salary range reflected is an estimate of base pay and is for the primary location. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $258,570.00 - $304,200.00 - $334,620.00
