Job Description

Elavon is currently seeking a Director, Marketing Change Management to play a crucial role within the North America Marketing organization. The successful candidate will have a dual focus representing Marketing, serving as a subject matter expert on projects originating across the business, and will also be responsible to keep the Marketing leadership team informed of new initiatives and changes that have impact to our channels and work.

As the initial point of contact for stakeholders across the business, this individual will develop a robust understanding of each of the Marketing teams’ responsibilities, as well as the channels they support. Serving as the ‘voice of marketing’ while being briefed on new initiatives, this individual will set expectations around the feasibility of various requests and their prioritization, while also being able to relay the requests to the Marketing Leadership team, with recommendations of how to execute. A significant component of the role will be working closely with Product, Training and Commercialization teams to see big product releases come to fruition and align Marketing resources for sales readiness and market launch.

Detail-oriented and organized, the ideal candidate will be able to juggle a variety of competing priorities, receive requests, gather information and then delegate programs to the right internal or external contacts at the right stage. The successful candidate will be a self-starter and able to make fact-based decisions independently, while excelling at communication and collaboration across the organization to connect relevant parties. They will serve as a trusted consultant, taking ownership of all marketing requests and knowing the right stage to delegate it to the appropriate team or vendor for completion.

This position reports to the COS/VP, Events & Marketing Communications and will support the SVP, Marketing and Marketing Leadership Team as needed.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • Six or more years of related experience in marketing and marketing strategy with proven ability to deliver results

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Must possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Able to translate complex ideas and concepts into verbiage easily understood by non-specialists.

  • Ability to shift priorities and delegate as needed.

  • Ability to negotiate and influence internal and external parties.

  • Supervisory/Management experience preferred.

  • Agency/vendor management, delegation and coordination experience required.

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills. Makes fact-based decisions and consults experts as needed.

  • Proven ability to work independently, successfully handle multiple projects, and meet critical deadlines in fast-paced environment.

  • Team player. Flexible. Results and service-oriented and with a firm commitment to ensuring deadlines are met.

  • Demonstrated experience in marketing campaign and/or communications development with expertise in project management and task delegation.
