Job Description

This position is responsible for developing training solutions for our Elavon business. The focus of this role is developing and delivering training materials and tools to support our people. The remit and responsibilities of Global Learning & Development are wide and far-reaching, with an ever-changing set of deliverables that are drawn from business needs and priorities.

Key deliverables include:

Design and development of learning solutions through consultation with business leaders and interpreting the learning objective(s).

Development of digital training solutions in a variety of formats across several platforms including MS Teams, Vyond Mural and Articulate 360. These can be self-guided, instructor led, or web based.

Lead and co-facilitate training by creating and hosting role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures to real world situations and subsequent debrief activities to arrive at learning outcomes.

Based in Ireland (Arklow/ Cherrywood office, hybrid), main duties will comprise:

  • interviews and consults with key business leaders and subject matter experts to create training project outlines,

  • design learning strategies through identification of learning objectives,

  • development of training materials and content to support each objective,

  • incorporates the use of varied delivery alternatives, including self-study, instructor-led, computer-based, web-enabled and other options,

  • facilitate and cofacilitate classroom and on-line training sessions,

  • designs, develops and maintains materials such as e-learning, videos, podcasts, participant guides, training updates and communication independently,

  • consult with learning strategy, learning programme managers and managers in the field to ensure alignment of training content to business needs,

  • execute programme measurement strategy to evaluate the impact,

  • represent Elavon in a professional and confident manner during internal and external presentations and training sessions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience training or training design and delivery;

  • Native level of English is essential , good knowledge of other European languages would be an advantage;

  • Knowledge of adult learning theories and instructional design models

  • Lesson and curriculum planning skills

  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills – able to professionally deliver a variety of classroom and virtual based training for varied audiences;

  • Excellent Office365 skills including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook;

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team, subject matter experts and business leaders;

  • Problem solving attitude with multitasking ability and a willingness to think outside the box;

  • High level of attention to detail and quality;

Desirable:

  • Authoring tools (e.g. Vyond, Articulate, Captivate, Mural, Vyond);

  • Experience in finance industry would be an advantage.

  • Language capability

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.
