Job Description

Ensures U.S. Bank's largest programs and projects are held to the leading practices in the Program/Project Management industry related to cost, schedule, scope, and quality. Oversees and is ultimately responsible for a team responsible for readiness of employees, clients, third-parties, and partners. Evaluate and coach on U.S. Bank's largest programs as well as the balance of the WMIS project portfolio (annually 50 active projects and programs) through active assessment, redirection and coaching.

Responsible for the readiness activities related to the SWP custody re-platform to make employees, clients, third-parties, and partners ready to go live per the event schedule. This program is a three-year, $75+ million transformational technology initiative to replace the existing custody system with a new, modern custody system. Role is responsible for the identification and execution of all readiness components of the program, including testing, training, procedure reviews, communications and more.

The position will collaborate with other program leaders to properly resource and prioritize the program deliverables. Responsible for reporting program status, mitigating risks and issues, and escalating challenges appropriately.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Lead, facilitate, and manage all activities necessary for the employees and clients to be ready to convert or use the SWP system and its surrounds.

  • Provides direction and leadership to the WMIS business regarding the SWP program

  • Creates strong partnership between business and the SWP program team to drive readiness activities

  • Serves as critical partner with SWP program, WMIS business, and their clients

  • Develop and oversee program readiness plans and tracking of progress and changes

  • Communicate overall status to various leaders at all levels

  • Drive completion of readiness tasks that are both in this leaders control and tasks they must influence

  • Seek opportunities to make improvements to team efficiency and process

  • Establish milestones and monitor adherance to master plans and schedules

  • Monitor inter-connected projects/programs

Strategic Responsibilities: The long-term goal is to build a repeatable readiness process to execute upon each vendor or internal technology change, including future automated testing framework.

Basic Qualifications

  • Master's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • 12 or more years of experience in project management and leadership activities

  • Six or more years of managerial experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Expert knowledge of Wealth Management and Investment Services business line and Custody functional area

  • Demonstrated management and leadership skills

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills

  • Advanced knowledge of project management

  • Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyze data

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, US Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401k contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $135,660.00 - $159,600.00 - $175,560.00
