U.S. Bank CPS Business Development Consultant in Washington, District Of Columbia

Responsible for selling corporate payment solutions (Purchasing, Virtual and Travel & Entertainment cards) to prospective Public Sector customers in order to develop new Commercial Card contracts with expected client spend of over $150MM annually. The Public Sector clients include Education & Non Profits, Local and State Governments and Federal Government customers and prospects. The candidate prepares and delivers sales presentations, initiates and coordinates pricing, negotiates complex client Agreements and remains actively involved in the sale until it is successfully transitioned to the relationship management team. Identifies opportunities to cross-sell other U.S. Bancorp products and services. Assists management in developing a winning market strategy for the assigned portfolio of accounts and territory. Meets or exceeds revenue and contracted spend goals. Assists in the design and ensures the proper installation of treasury management services. Assists management in the development of new services or the modification of existing services. The position will cover accounts located throughout the United States with an emphasis on the Southwestern and Midwestern United States.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • 10 or more years of successful sales experience in the commercial card / banking industry with a top 5 commercial card issuer

  • Success in selling Travel & Entertainment / Commercial Card solutions to Fortune 250 clients with a proven track record of success

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Superior knowledge of Commercial Card competitive marketplace

  • Thorough knowledge of the organization and its products, services and operations
