U.S. Bank Teller 1 - Oak Ridge, MN (Full-time, 40hr/wk) in STILLWATER, Minnesota

GENERAL SUMMARY:

A key contributor to the overall unified customer experience of U.S. Bank. Responsible for demonstrating excellent customer service in accordance with U.S. Bank’s Core Values. Accountable for sales and service activities in all Consumer Banking and Branch Delivery branch locations (Metro, Community, and In-Store On-Site). Responsible for handling routine financial transactions (deposits, withdrawals, advances, payment, etc.), while ensuring a positive interaction with customers/non-customers. Identify customer needs and recommends U.S. Bancorp products as appropriate. Follows established policies and procedures while processing transactions in an effort to mitigate risk.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Greets customer in courteous manner providing prompt and efficient service. Sensitive and responsive to the needs and priorities of both internal and external customers; identifies and takes appropriate action based on customer needs; establishes effective working relationships with customers and gains their respect and loyalty.

  2. Balances cash/transactions daily. Processes deposits, withdrawals and transfers between accounts, check cashing, money orders, cashier’s checks, cash advances, ATM and Night Drop processing, and loan payments.

  3. Maintains cash supply as directed. Fills currency and coin orders in specified amounts. Operates coin counting machine to count large volumes of coins. Documents transactions for incoming and outgoing cash.

  4. Actively searches for opportunities to make suggestions to current or potential customers about other services/products that may be of interest to them.

  5. May function as drive-up window Teller.

  6. May perform other duties as assigned.

  7. Actively ensures compliance with the U.S. Bank Code of Ethics and all Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security and suspicious activity reporting requirements, policies and procedures. Actively participates in any required corporate and business line training in these areas. Follows account opening procedures and understands and follows internal suspicious activity referral requirements and processes, as required for this position. Actively works with customers to understand each customer's normal account activity, as appropriate for this position. Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum six months of experience in cash handling and customer service

  • Physical requirements: May be required to stand for extended periods of time and may be required to lift bags/boxes of coin weighing up to 50 pounds
