U.S. Bancorp CDC Chief Financial Officer oversees setting strategic goals for Tax Strategy and Analysis, Accounting, Finance and the Treasury functions for the CDC. The CDC CFO will be responsible for the pricing and financial analysis in support of transaction analysis including acquisition, sale and securitization of tax equity investments made by the CDC.
The CDC CFO will provide strategic and technical accounting advice and guidance to the CEO for new, unusual and/or complex transactions, as well as developing and analyzing structuring alternatives. The CDC CFO collaborates with internal and external senior leaders, and enterprise U.S. Bank CFO Org. The CDC CFO is directly involved in critical decision making activities that drive or enhance business performance and/or the related impact to financial results.
-Works with U.S. Bancorp CDC CEO and senior management team to establish strategic direction of the group.
Lead all aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting processes including financial and capital expenditures reporting.
Manages the annual planning processes including salary, fixed asset, capital expenditure and detailed planning by center.
Is responsible for forming, implementing and controlling pricing models and tools used to support investments in and securitization of tax equity originations.
Conducts in-depth comparison analyses on actual performance results compared to annual plan, forecasts, and prior period results. Consults with the CEO on projections and results making recommendations for improvement as necessary.
Reviews quarterly regulatory and compliance reporting.
Coordinates and/or conducts accounting policy reviews for compliance with FASB rules and Corporate Accounting policy.
Responsible for the tax accounting for the business line including all tax analysis, interfacing with Corporate Tax in the development of tax strategies.
Reviews capital expenditure proposals and consults with the CEO on benefits or risks. Monitors performance of the approved project versus the plan.
Creates profitability analyses and financial models as needed.
Performs analysis and reporting for large projects including securitization, risk transfer structures, tax equity and securities related to tax equity investments, acquisitions and divestitures.
Coordinates and/or participates in the implementation of finance and accounting policies and procedures in response to existing or new laws and regulations.
Manages a team of Finance and Accounting Managers and Accountants and Financial Analysts.
-Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
-10-15 years of relevant financial management and accounting experience (MBA/CPA or equivalent experience)
- 8-10 years of management experience.

-Demonstrated knowledge of accounting/finance principles; strong planning and analytical skills.

-Experience in the Finance Industry (one of the top 10 banks or tax credit industry financial institutions in the U.S.)
-Strong technical accounting knowledge (existing and proposed new pronouncements).
-Experience with derivatives and other off-balance sheet instruments, securitizations and conduits, mergers/acquisitions/restructurings, purchase accounting including valuation of intangibles, goodwill impairment analysis, equity investments and joint ventures, risk transfer structures, capitalized software and general tax concepts.
