U.S. Bank Sr. Procurement Systems & Processes Project Manager - Richfield, MN in RICHFIELD, Minnesota

Responsible for supporting and driving the design, implementation, and effective use of Procurement systems, procedures, and guidelines. Responsible for consulting lead roles on application of Procurement and IT systems, procedures and guidelines on highly complex projects with limited oversight. Manages overall work efforts of project team, ensuring proper controls are in place and processes are followed. Provides oversight to meet established function, quality, cost, and schedule goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

Development

Manages projects with moderate complexity and durations of 12-18 months from initial concept through post implementation, primarily supporting U.S. Bank Corporate Procurement, but potentially supporting other bank business lines on a limited basis. Supports development, implementation, improvement, and upkeep of standards, processes, procedures, and guidelines both for direct team and the wider Procurement organization.

Relationship Management

Serves as a liaison and builds bridges and relationships with key project stakeholders. Able to address issues via direct one-on-one dialog with project resources.

Adherence

Ensures adherence to formal processes, standards, and total quality practices by development group in all activities and creates/delivers training as required.

Assessment and Planning

Supports and informs management in the impact, cost benefit and risk of proposed changes. Coordinates the change planning and implementation process. Ensures adherence to formal processes, standards, and total quality practices by development group in all activities and creates/delivers training as required.

Team Building

Determines knowledge and skill sets required to ensure successful project outcomes. Promotes collaborative relationships across project team members.

Identification

Identifies strengths and weaknesses of existing processes, methods, and tools. Creates and delivers recommendations based on findings.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

-Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

-At least 5 years experience with tools and techniques for planning, organizing, monitoring and controlling IT projects.

Preferred Skills/Experience

Working experience in:

-MS Project

-Document management

-System development life cycle

-Using and promoting Lean or similar methodologies

-Working in a Procurement, AP, or similar environment

Extensive experience in:

-Project control and reporting

-Project planning and organization

-IT project management
