U.S. Bank Informatica BDE Administrator in Phoenix, Arizona

U.S. Bank is seeking an Informatica BDE Administrator with proven expertise and experience in managing enterprise scale Data Warehouse and Extract Transform and Load (ETL) architectures and environments. This position requires a minimum of three plus years of implementation, configuration, administration and support of the Informatica Big Data Edition software package. Collaborates with application and infrastructure architects to define, enhance, and augment architectural roadmaps to support large and highly visible Informatica systems deployments. Effectively implements and supports complex and critical Informatica environments with excellent teamwork and team building skills.

Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Implementation, configuration, administration and support of the Informatica Big Data Edition software package

  • Analyze data to identify trends or relationships among variables. Analyzes data from various systems of record as it pertains to data warehousing. Leads communication with the business to understand and define their data requirements.

  • Develop testing routines or procedures. Plans and conducts data warehouse and data repository system tests, monitor test results and takes required corrective action.

  • Develop procedures for data management. Creates procedures for developing and maintaining metadata and data mapping documents.

  • Develop performance metrics or standards related to information technology. Communicates effectively with business lines and various technology groups. Leads reviews of functional and non-functional requirements with development teams and business lines. Leads other data analysts.

  • Create databases to store electronic data. Assists in the design of overall system and solution architecture, system integration, and implementation strategy to deliver an integrated solution which meet customer needs

  • Modify software programs to improve performance. Responsible for installing, configuring, upgrading and maintaining a scalable and high performing Data Warehouse and ETL applications in support of business processing requirements

  • Evaluate data quality. Provides consulting and guidance to other technical teams during requirements gathering and data discovery. Shares knowledge associated with tools for data analysis.

  • Test software performance. Plans and conducts data warehouse and data repository system tests, monitor test results and takes required corrective action.

  • Design software applications. Collaborates with data architect to define relationships in the data within the system of record and within the data warehouse. Models the data conceptually and logically.

  • Troubleshoot issues with computer applications or systems. Responsible for installing, configuring, upgrading and supporting a scalable and high performing Data Warehouse and ETL environment in support of business processing requirements

  • Develop models of information or communications systems. Defines complex business rules concerning the process of the data warehouse. Designs methods for data validation to ensure data quality.

  • Write computer programming code. Responsible for creating programming code used for implementations, troubleshooting and validation of Business Line related code.

  • Evaluate project designs to determine adequacy or feasibility. Writes complex functional and non-functional requirements pertaining to multiple systems of record sources and/or master data.

  • Document operational procedures. Creation and maintenance of operational procedures including but not limited to; code migrations, troubleshooting and configurations, IT Service Management procedures and upgrade procedures of Data Warehouses and ETL platforms

  • Develop diagrams or flow charts of system operation. Responsible for developing and maintaining architectural and conceptual flow diagrams of current and proposed Data Warehouse and ETL environments

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

•Minimum 3 years’ experience in implementation, configuration, administration and support of the Informatica Big Data Edition software package

•administering Informatica Big Data Edition software package in a complex Enterprise Hadoop ecosystem

•Minimum 3 years’ experience in administering Informatica products in a complex Enterprise Data Management ecosystem

•Minimum 5 years of Data Warehouse / ETL experience

•Strong understanding Data Warehouse and of ETL architectures

•Background in deployment and implementation of ETL packages

•Good verbal and written communication skills

•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in an Information Technology field

•Demonstrated experience in working on large projects or small teams

•Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems

•Familiarity with the use of version control tools

•Experience in the Financial and banking industry

•Data Warehousing and relational database methodology
