U.S. Bank Strategic Reporting Analyst in MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota

This position plays a critical role on the Mortgage Project Portfolio Management team in the US Bank Home Mortgage Change Management Organization (CMO). The Mortgage Project Portfolio Management Senior Analyst is a key member of the Project Portfolio Management Team within U.S. Bank’s Mortgage Change Management Organization (CMO). The CMO Mortgage Project Portfolio Management team:

  1. Tracks and reports on CMO’s master portfolio of change initiatives

  2. Analyzes and reports on CMO’s resource capacity (team level, staff level) to execute current / new change initiatives

  3. Facilitates the prioritization of new, sponsored initiatives – from ideation, to scoping and business case development, to proposal development and facilitation of executive decision making

  4. Conducts Monthly Portfolio Reviews and reporting with key Line of Business (LOB) stakeholders

  5. Collaborates with the CMO Change Planning Governance and Standards team to identify Project Delivery best practices and to conduct training in those practices

  6. Participates in the strategic planning of initiatives for annual project planning

The Mortgage Portfolio Management Senior Data Analyst:

  1. Supports CMO capacity planning and resource utilization reporting with respect to project delivery.

  2. Has responsibility to be the primary interface to the Daptiv PPM tool for capacity planning, creating reports, assimilating reports and analyzing data to highlight capacity utilization trends and needs.

  3. The person in this role interfaces with senior leaders within the CMO as well as CMO resource managers to ensure the completeness of the capacity plan in terms of resources and role assignment, resource allocation, and completeness of data necessary for an effective capacity plan.

  4. Conducts recurring meetings to review capacity utilization and to plan future utilization needs.

  5. Augments PPM tool capabilities with customized reports and capacity planning tools.

  6. Interfaces with other CMO functions to create capacity plans for the problem resolution area and for other functions that require various types of capacity planning and tracking.

  7. Leads special projects and analyses as assigned.

Role is based in St. Louis, MO or Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN. Exceptions may be made for exceptional candidates with an ability to travel up to 20%.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent work experienceFive to eight years of experience in project management and leadership activitiesFour or more years of managerial experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • 5-6 years’ experience planning, estimating, and developing business cases for complex change initiatives in the financial services industry, including project scheduling

  • Extensive experience and skills with Excel

  • Trend Analysis and Business Analysis

  • Executive communication skills

  • Collaborative working style to work with resources at varying levels and meet the expressed needs

  • Report creation and utilization for capacity planning

  • Previous experience in capacity planning
