U.S. Bank Development Group Manager 3 in MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota

U.S. Bank is seeking a motivated Development Group Manager with strong leadership abilities to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives.


  • Responsible for application systems analysis and programming activities for a group.

  • Conducts feasibility studies, time and cost estimates and the establishment and implementation of new or revised applications and programs.

  • Assists in projecting software and hardware requirements.

  • Assigns personnel to various projects and directs their activities; reviews and evaluates their work and prepares performance reports.

  • Confers with and advises subordinates on administrative policies and procedures, technical problems, priorities and methods.

  • Consults with personnel in other Technology areas to coordinate activities.

  • Prepares activity and progress reports regarding the activities of the development group.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • 10 or more years of experience in information systems technology and financial services industry applications

  • Five or more years of managerial experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Superior knowledge of systems technology and functional area

  • Advanced technical and business knowledge of organization policies and procedures

  • Demonstrated management, leadership and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, both verbal and written, with senior leadership. This includes technical and non-technical leadership.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience in developing and managing project budgets

  • Ability to manage indirect resources via influence and leadership skills

  • Background in project management fundamentals.
