U.S. Bank IPS: Technical Sales Engineer / Consultant in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Job Description/Responsibilities:

Engage new and prospective partners during the sales cycle by providing product solution knowledge.

Determine appropriate technical solution offerings that address the needs of the partner through consultative interaction. This will include regular contact with new and prospective partner technical and business contacts.

Support an assigned Business Development and Sales team members by providing technical subject matter expert input.

Create and deliver technical sales presentations both onsite at new and prospective partner locations as well remotely.

Collaborate with various internal stakeholders to explore and development technical program options that meet the needs of new and prospective partner business and technical solution models.

Gather partner technical solution requirements during the technical engagement, facilitating mutual agreement and alignment.

Communicate with sales leadership throughout the technical sales engagement cycle keeping them abreast of key needs and requirements of new and prospective partner.

Maintain competitive technical and business market knowledge through self-sourced research and capturing feedback from new and prospective partner engagement.

Stay abreast of various internal product solution roadmaps in order to communicate future vision to new and prospective partners.

Manage sales engagement workflow via SalesForce.

Work with the Solution Engineer team to transition new partners to the technical integration stage.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Six to eight years of sales experience in the financial services industry

  • Ability to travel

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Considerable knowledge of sales engineering, product, client servicing and operations

  • Excellent business technical sales/business development skills

  • Strong negotiation and decision-making ability

  • Ability to creatively resolve complex problems with general guidance

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously

  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal and written communication skills

  • 3-6 Years industry or sales engineering and consulting experience
