U.S. Bank Credit Risk Manager in Las Vegas, Nevada
Credit Risk Management (CRM) provides independent oversight of enterprise credit risk, risk governance, and control. CRM’s primary objective is to support a comprehensive and proactive approach to risk management that promotes a strong risk management culture. CRM works with the business line and other corporate oversight groups to establish policies and standards that align with U.S. Bancorp’s risk appetite.
The Risk Manager Monitors and reports on existing and emerging risks for assigned portfolios. Develops policies and procedures used to evaluate and control credit risk and optimize profit potential for assigned business lines. Performs industry analysis and risk assessments in order to preserve credit quality and minimize risk to the company.
This role will provide credit risk management support for Community Banking and Wealth Management:
-Manages policies and procedures used to evaluate and control credit risk.
-Monitors and tests compliance with risk appetite and policies.
-Analyzes the portfolio for emerging and key risk trends. Analyzes the output of reports to identify key risk trends and emerging risks within the portfolio.
-Conducts in-depth research and extensive analyses and works with business line to mitigate or remediate identified risks.
-Upon request, produces ad hoc analyses.
-Aggregate and analyze internal and industry data to provide information regarding portfolio performance relative to the industry.
-Proactively identifies reporting gaps and process improvement opportunities to support the group’s strong risk management culture.
-Manages multiple projects and analyses and ensures deadlines are met.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, accounting, computer science, economics, finance or statistics, or equivalent work experience.
Seven to ten years of credit risk management experience.
Considerable knowledge of credit risk, financial and statistical analysis.
Business line experience with underwriting and managing commercial credit.
Knowledge of credit administration, policies and procedures, and regulatory compliance.
Intermediate to advanced skills with SAS and/or other data analysis tools.
Effective verbal, interpersonal and written communication, presentation, organizational and prioritization skills.
PC proficiency utilizing a variety of software including the Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
Effective technical report writing skills.
