U.S. Bank Information Security Audit Support Lead in Irvine, California

U.S. Bank is seeking an Information Security Audit Support Lead with the ability to lead Information Technology audit and exam activities, coordinate and manage team tasks, and apply project management best practices to remediate identified risks. The IS Audit Support Lead role consults on a wide spectrum of existing / emerging identified risks and associated services and processes.

Primary Responsibilities:

Participates on special technical projects aimed at reducing risk in the environment.

Consults with information security management and technical staff regarding current and emerging risks to the environment, identifying risks appropriately and timely.

Recommends technical and process alternatives, providing clear alignment of the businesses open risk.

Provides oversight to Information Security audit support team to include task delegation and reporting to management chain

Participates in the evaluation, selection, and application of new and emerging tools and techniques.

Evaluates compliance with U.S. Bank’s and regulatory information security control requirements and policy.

Analyzes market trends concerning emerging information security threats.

Drives the review of existing policy and identifies opportunities for net new policy creation where needed.

Provides input and suggestions to improve the policy to close any risk gaps identified.

Effective in communication with peers, management and senior leadership.

Reports and escalates issues appropriately and timely.

Basic Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

-At least 4 years of experience with management approaches, tools, and techniques for gaining the cooperation and support of others.

-At least 9 years of experience with processes, tools, techniques and practices for assuring adherence to standards associated with accessing, altering and protecting organizational data.

Required Experience :

– At least 8 years of experience with project/portfolio management

– At least 8 years of experience within the information security industry, process, and technologies
