Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking a Senior Delivery Engineer who will be part of a cross-functional group of security, product, technology, and business leaders responsible for leading, planning and delivery of key initiatives. Your primary job is to facilitate outcome-focused delivery on a continuous basis, manage complexity, and help product teams deliver exceptional products and services to our internal stakeholders and customers.

As a Delivery Engineer within the Information Security organization, you will:

  • Engineer who is experienced with cloud engineering practices to ensure delivery of a complete solution

  • Leverage data analysis and customer research to gather requirements and then ensure the appropriate product teams/resources are assembled to deliver the most fitting solution

  • Triage and understand engineering components, prioritization and dependencies

  • Be a trusted SME on generalized security knowledge to ensure safe and secure solutions are developed

  • Establish entry point for requests which will quickly clarify requirements, save time and enable teams to focus on priority assignments

  • Work with multiple product teams to identify, manage, and track commitments. Also manage and track cross team dependencies associated with those commitments

  • Work to identify impediments to deliver on our prioritized objectives early, actively help resolve those impediments, and escalate appropriately when needed

  • Provide proactive visibility and effectively communicate delivery targets, commitments and associated outcomes, and progress, up to senior leadership levels

  • Encourage a culture of team-driven decision making and commitment

  • In partnership with Group Product Managers, facilitate the prioritization and sequencing of backlog items to align with value and strategic importance

  • Consult and advise on security practices leveraging proven experience with tool and development methods

Minimum Qualifications

  • Typically a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Typically seven or more years of relevant experience;

  • Technical and functional subject matter expert knowledge across security domain areas

Experience Should Include

  • Experience with AWS and/or Azure, designing and engineering solutions

  • Familiarity with native cloud component services in Azure and/or AWS; example Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS), relational databases such as SQLMI or Cosmos

  • Experience with development languages such as Terraform or Python

  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline and other DevOps tools

  • Familiarity with the product model, with a strong understanding of delivery methods and tools

  • Ability to communicate complex concepts in easy-to-understand terminology across various levels of stakeholder audiences

  • Ability to influence peers, partners, and senior leaders to find common ground, push for consistency where possible and navigate competing interests with the ability to effectively facilitate cross-functional conversations through all levels of leadership

  • Proven ability to self-organize and lead through ambiguity

  • Experienced in technical problem solving

  • Professional capabilities in technical writing and communication

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $129,455.00 - $152,300.00 - $167,530.00
