U.S. Bank Sr Financial Analyst 6 in CINCINNATI, Ohio

Provides financial analyses related to budgets, forecasting, allocation of expenses, ad hoc analysis for business case development and custom financial analyses, peer group analysis and internal consulting for all levels of management. Develops and maintains spreadsheets and models for financial analysis. Prepares a variety of management presentations. Researches and explains variances during forecast and month-end close processes.

Key Responsibilities:

-Responsible for financial reporting, planning and analysis for assigned products.

-Develops and maintains spreadsheets for financial statements, reports, budgets and forecasts.

-Researches, collects, and analyzes data regarding profitability of card products.

-Evaluates and analyzes impact of alternative business decisions and identifies solutions to a variety of financial issues.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience

  • Ten or more years of experience in accounting or financial activities

Preferred Skills/Experience

-Extensive knowledge of financial analysis techniques and general accounting procedures

-Well developed mathematical and analytical skills

-Excellent interpersonal skills: strong written communications skills, ability to communicate clearly and effectively across various levels in the organization

-Well developed financial forecasting and planning skills

-Ability to manage multiple tasks

-Solid Excel skills

-Experience with Essbase and SQL preferred

-MBA or CPA preferred
