U.S. Bank Sr. Database Administrator in BROOKFIELD, Wisconsin
U.S. Bank is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Database Administrator with data security and disaster recovery experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives. Manages physical databases on specific database technologies. Designs and implements back-up, recovery, archiving, and conversion strategies. Manages and maintains data definitions in all production and non-production databases and replication servers. Manages database distribution, security, and access requirements. Designs and develops logical and physical layers of databases. Handles testing, reporting, back-up, and restores. Provides technical assistance and mentoring to staff for developing conceptual and logical database design and the physical database. Recommends, installs, and maintains database software. Monitors performance and performs database training and assists application developers with train tuning efforts.
•Administer the Oracle Database server instances to support users across different Client locations.
◦Apply development skills and technology during development.
•Administer and Install Oracle and Oracle Golden Gate instances and/or Oracle Data Guard instances.
◦Manage the day-to-day activities working with a team of software developers.
◦Interface with project stakeholders to ensure that the system objectives are balanced with overall project objectives.
◦Provide design ideas to the leadership of the project team.
◦Represent the team as required.
◦Assist management in the development of design policies and procedures which improve the ability to meet requirements.
•Communicate with peers and supervisors routinely, document work, meetings, and decisions.
•Communicate and work within a Project Team environment.

-Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
-At least 6 years experience with tools, facilities and techniques for managing and administering data.
•Around 5 years of experience as Oracle DBA with good exposure to Oracle Golden Gate and/or Oracle Data Guard.
•GoldenGate and/or Data Guard replication solutions design, implementation, and support for both unidirectional and bidirectional replication leveraging multiple features within the Oracle GoldenGate product suite.
•Design the initial architecture based on business requirements and GoldenGate and Data Guard best practices.
•Discuss pros and cons to the various types of GoldenGate and Data Guard deployments.
•Assist the client in defining and documenting the replication configuration between database instances.
•Verify current GoldenGate and Data Guard Installations.
•Discuss the overall impact of the chosen GoldenGate and Data Guard configurations with the various departments in technical and business staff.
•Troubleshoot and fix issues with Golden Gate and Data Guard configurations and replication.
•Oracle11g/12c database administration support which includes installation of binaries and databases.
•Configuration, Cloning, Backup & Tuning.
•Good understanding of and experience in UNIX operating systems.
