U.S. Bank Change Management Consultant - Mortgage Servicing in Albuquerque, New Mexico

The Mortgage Servicing division is seeking a Change Management Consultant to support improved execution of process changes; to ensure adequate management controls and to deliver sustainable processes. This role will work in partnership with peer analysts, project managers, business line operations managers, risk managers, corporate compliance, and legal departments.

The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of Mortgage Servicing Operations processes and be able to ascertain applicability and/or impact of regulatory, legal, and investor changes to those processes.

Duties:

  • Research and complete impact assessment upon receipt of legal, regulatory and agency changes to identify operational applicability and key stakeholders. This can include Federal, state laws, FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, CFPB, and other regulatory agencies.

  • Partners with peer analysts, Mortgage Servicing Business Lines, Legal and Risk to appropriately assess and document operational impact or confirm operational compliance with regulatory changes.

  • Works in partnership with peers to initiate analysis on regulatory changes that impact Mortgage Servicing.

  • Participates in projects and/or activities, as deemed appropriate

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Three to five years of experience in an applicable risk management environment

  • Applicable professional certifications

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree preferred,

Mortgage servicing required

  • Five to seven years of experience in mortgage servicing

Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact Mortgage Servicing

-Ability to review, interpret and understand the impact of a regulatory change

  • Advanced understanding of Mortgage Servicing operation processes, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls

  • Strong Analytical Skills

  • Knowledge of QA/Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies

  • Strong process facilitation and project management skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient computer skills,

-Knowledge of Black Knight Financial systems (MSP and desktop applications) and Microsoft Office applications
